OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
JAMES M. MONTGOMERY CONSULTING ENGINEERS FOR
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT OF
THE WESTSIDE WATER TRANSMISSION LINE PHASE II
WHEREAS, the Westside Water Transmission Line Phase II is a part of
the water system to be constructed to provide water service to new areas in
the southern portion of the City; and
WHEREAS, in November of 1986, the City's Purchasing Department
released Request for Proposal/Qualifications to solicit consultants for the
design and construction management of Phase II of said transmission line;
and
WHEREAS, City staff interviewed three consultants who responded to the
RFP and selected James M. Montgomery as the firm best qualified for the
project; and
WHEREAS, James M. Montgomery Engineers will perform the design phase
in the amount of One Hundred and Forty-Nine Thousand Three Hundred Dollars
($149,300.) and the construction management for a cost not to exceed One
Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars ($185,000. ) ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-66 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000. ) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a professional services agreement with James M. Montgomery Engineers
for the design and construction management of the Westside Water
Transmission Line Phase II, said services to be performed by James M.
Montgomery Engineers for a sum not to exceed Three Hundred Thirty-Four
Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($334,300. )
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fcrt Collins field this 17th day of February, A.D. 1987.
