HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-030-02/17/1987-AGREEMENT CHESTNUT STREET LARIMER COUNTY LEASING PARKING SPACES MOUNTAIN AVENUE RESOLUTION 87-30 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY FOR THE LEASING OF CERTAIN PARKING SPACES ON MOUNTAIN AVENUE AND ON CHESTNUT STREET WHEREAS, pursuant to the Constitution and statutes of the State of Colorado, and the Charter and ordinances of the City, the City has the power and authority to regulate the parking of motor vehicles within its municipal boundaries; and WHEREAS, the County maintains, operates and utilizes certain buildings within the City, which buildings are located in congested areas; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that the employees of the County, acting in their various governmental capacities, have need for ready access to vehicular parking in the general vicinity of the County building; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that the leasing of such parking will not unreasonably interfere with the commerce and activities of other adjacent business and the general motoring public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City, to enter into an agreement with Larimer County for the leasing of 29 parking spaces in the area of the 300 block of East Mountain Avenue and 16 parking spaces along the northwest side of Chestnut Street upon a permit basis and upon payment in advance, by the County of Eighty-Four Dollars ($84. ) per parking space per year. Said agreement shall continue for a term of one (1) year commencing on January 1, 1987. The agreement may be terminated upon thirty (30) days advance written notice by either party.
