OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ESTABLISHING AND APPOINTING A
COUNCIL HEALTH AND SAFETY SUBCOMMITTEE
WHEREAS, on September 1 , 1987, the City Council established a Boards
and Commissions Review Subcommittee to review and evaluate the function and
performance of the boards and commissions for the purpose of improving
communication and enhancing the effectiveness of said boards and
commissions; and
WHEREAS, the Boards and Commissions Review Subcommittee completed its
review and evaluation and presented its report to Council on March 4 , 1988;
and
WHEREAS, said report contained a recommendation that Council establish
a Council Health and Safety Subcommittee; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1 . That a Council Health and Safety Subcommittee is hereby
established for the purpose of reviewing policies and issues directly
related to public health and safety, including but not limited to, police,
fire, and emergency services, hazardous materials, and underground chemical
storage. Said Subcommittee will also review staff recommendations on broad
public health and safety concerns and make policy recommendations to the
entire Council .
Section 2. That the following named Councilmembers be appointed to
serve on the Council Health and Safety Subcommittee until such time as the
Council may decide to make new appointments.

Ed Stoner
Bob Winokur
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
I7th day of May, A.D. 1988.
