HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-072-05/17/1988-IGA RATING SYSTEM RESIDENTIAL ENERGY STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION 88- 72 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF COLORADO FOR ENHANCED PROMOTION OF THE FORT COLLINS RESIDENTIAL ENERGY RATING SYSTEM WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has developed a Residential Energy Rating System which will be implemented in a pilot test program within the City; and WHEREAS, the Office of Energy Conservation of the State of Colorado has received federal funding to investigate the applicability of energy rating systems on a statewide scale, and is expressly interested in the results of the pilot test program developed by the City; and WHEREAS, the Office of Energy Conservation has agreed to provide funding in the amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) in order to enable the pilot test program to be more aggressively marketed within the City; and WHEREAS, the City and the Office of Energy Conservation will be mutually benefitted by the enhanced promotion and marketing of the pilot test program for the Residential Energy Rating System. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Office of Energy Conservation of the State of Colorado, whereby the City of Fort Collins will receive a grant of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) for the enhanced marketing of the Fort Collins Residential Energy Rating System.
