OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING LIBRARY SERVICES
TO RESIDENTS OF LARIMER COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has traditionally provided general
library services and library outreach services to the residents of Larimer
County; and
WHEREAS, library services provided directly by the County would not be
cost-effective or further a spirit of cooperation, and the City is able to
provide such services on a cost-effective basis; and
WHEREAS, the County wishes the Fort Collins Public Library to continue
providing these services in 1988 and to that end has agreed to contribute
One Hundred Six Thousand Four Hundred Forty-eight Dollars ($106,448) to the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an
intergovernmental agreement with Larimer County for, upon payment of the
sum of One Hundred Six Thousand Four Hundred Forty-eight Dollars ($106,448)
to the City, the provision of general library services and library outreach
services to the residents of Larimer County through the Fort Collins Public
Library.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 19th day of January, A.D. 1988.
