HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-065-05/03/1988-FAULT INDICATORS HAMILTON ASSOCIATES HORSTMAN PURCHASE RESOLUTION 88- 65 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE, AS A CASE NOT REQUIRING BIDDING, FAULT INDICATORS FROM THE U.S DISTRIBUTOR FOR HORSTMAN FAULT INDICATORS WHEREAS, Horstman fault indicators meet technical and applications specifications and criteria; and WHEREAS, the City is continuing to conduct research into alternate manufacturers of automatic indicators, without success at this time; and WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted and approved in the Light and Power Utility Fund for 1988; and WHEREAS, Section 8-123(a) (4) of the City Code provides for the purchase of items based on particular individual usage or professional advice where it is not practical to secure the purchase by formal bid procedure; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-123(a) (4) of the Code, a case not requiring bidding item to be purchased at a cost exceeding Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) must be approved by the City Council . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to purchase, as a case not requiring bidding, Horstman fault indicators from Hamilton Associates at a cost of Twenty-three Thousand Three Hundred Ten Dollars ($23,310) . Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 3rd day of May, A.D. , 1988. Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk
