OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
GREENHORNE & O'MARA, INC. , FOR
STORM DRAINAGE DESIGN SERVICES
WHEREAS, storm drainage runoff from parts of the City of Fort Collins
is intercepted by the Larimer Number 2 and New Mercer Canals; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has developed a Canal Importation
Channel Master Drainageway Plan to collect storm drainage runoff from
adjacent land and storm drainage overflows from the Larimer Number 2 Canal
and the New Mercer Canal ; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that
it is in the best interests of the City that the Canal Importation Channel
be improved and modified by the construction of a channel and other
improvements, in order to better handle the major storm drainage runoff
anticipated to occur as a result of urban development; and
WHEREAS, Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. , has submitted a proposal to the
City which satisfactorily addresses the design services to be performed for
the Canal Importation Channel , at a sum not to exceed Eighty-six Thousand
Forty Dollars ($86,040) ; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into a Professional Services Agreement with Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. , for
storm drainage design services for the Canal Importation Channel , for a sum
not to exceed Eighty-six Thousand Forty Dollars ($86,040) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 19th day of April , A.D 988.
