OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
DISSOLVING THE
BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS REVIEW SUBCOMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins currently has 28 boards and
commissions of advisory, quasi -autonomous, and autonomous status; and
WHEREAS, on September 1, 1987, Council established a Boards and
Commissions Review Subcommittee, consisting of Councilmembers Susan
Kirkpatrick, Chuck Mabry, and Bob Winokur, to review and evaluate the
function and performance of said boards and commissions; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of said review and evaluation was to improve
communication and enhance the effectiveness of said boards and commissions;
and
WHEREAS, the Subcommittee has completed its review and evaluation and
presented its report to the City Council on March 4, 1988; and
WHEREAS, the Council will conduct a public hearing on May 3, 1988, to
hear comments from members of boards and commissions and other citizens on
the recommendations contained in the Subcommittee's report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Boards and Commissions Review Subcommittee is hereby
dissolved, and further actions relating to the recommendations of the
Subcommittee will be considered by the City Council as a whole.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
5th day of April , A.D. 1988.
