OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PURCHASING AND RISK MANAGEMENT
TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH JAMES M. MONTGOMERY, CONSULTING ENGINEERS, INC.
WHEREAS, in February of 1989 the City issued a request for proposals
for a comprehensive study of the entire Wastewater Collection System and
the development of a computer model of that system; and
WHEREAS, in April of 1989, the City entered into an agreement with
James M. Montgomery, Consulting Engineers, Inc. for the study and computer
model ; and
WHEREAS, the master plan study included flow monitoring in the
collection system, conducted during July 1989; and
WHEREAS, the analysis of the flow monitoring data indicates that
additional monitoring is warranted to more accurately determine the levels
of infiltration; and
WHEREAS, the infiltration rates are needed to refine the computer
model of the wastewater collection system and to evaluate the
cost-effectiveness of sewer rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, this additional work is within the scope of work defined by
the February, 1989 request for proposals; and
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a fee not to exceed Forty-five
Thousand Dollars ($45,000) for the performance of the additional work; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council
in an open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Director of Purchasing and Risk Management be, and he
hereby is, authorized to execute Change Order No. 1 to the Professional
Services Agreement with James M. Montgomery, Consulting Engineers, Inc. for
a total cost of Change Order No. 1 not to exceed Forty-five Thousand
Dollars ($45,000) .
Passed and adopted at a meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 20th day of February,, A.D. 1990.
