OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF LOVELAND FOR THE PURPOSE
OF PURCHASING PAVEMENT TESTING EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, a "RoadRater" pavement testing device has become available for
purchase for the sum of $15,000; and
WHEREAS, in the past, said testing equipment has been utilized by the City
through a local engineering consultant for the purpose of performing
nondestructive tests on pavements as a part of the City's pavement management
program; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that the
purchase price of the used "RoadRater" is reasonable and that, based upon the
advice of the City Engineer, the equipment is in good condition; and
WHEREAS, the City of Loveland is interested in joining with the City of
Fort Collins in purchasing said equipment on an equal basis; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the best interests of
the citizens of the City that said equipment be purchased jointly by the Cities
of Loveland and Fort Collins, with the cost and usage of the equipment to be
shared equally between the two Cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the Mayor be, and she hereby is, authorized to enter into an
intergovernmental agreement with the City of Loveland for the purpose of
purchasing and jointly utilizing and maintaining a used "RoadRater" pavement
testing device, the purchase price of which device is Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($15,000) , which purchase price shall be shared equally between the Cities of
Loveland and Fort Collins.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 16th day of July, A.D.
