OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENTS WITH LARIMER COUNTY, COLORADO STATE
UNIVERSITY AND THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY FOR USE
OF THE INDOOR SHOOTING RANGE
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins' Police presently administer the use
of the City's Indoor Police Training Facility (the "Facility") ; and
WHEREAS, Police Services conducts firearms training and qualification
activities as well as certain other law enforcement related training for
its own employees at the Facility; and
WHEREAS, certain other law enforcement agencies in the area wish to
use the Facility for these same types of activities; and
WHEREAS, Police Services has negotiated the terms under which such use
may be made, including payments which will assist in funding the operation
and maintenance of the Facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and she hereby is, authorized to enter into the
following intergovernmental agreements:
Section 1 . An agreement between the City of Fort Collins and Colorado
State University for use of the Facility's shooting range for a minimum of
seventeen and one-half (17.5) hours and, when requested, such other uses as
availability permits through June 31, 1990, upon payment of One Thousand
Four Hundred Dollars ($1 ,400) .
Section 2. An agreement between the City of Fort Collins and Larimer
County for use of the Facility's shooting range for a minimum of one
hundred (100) hours and, when requested, such other uses as availability
permits through December 31 , 1990, upon payment of Eight Thousand Dollars
($8,000) .
Section 3. An agreement between the City of Fort Collins and the
Office of the District Attorney for the Eighth Judicial District for use of
the Facility's shooting range, in conjunction with the City's training and
qualification activities, as availability permits through December 31 ,
1990, upon payment of Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($450) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 1st day of May, A.D. 990.
