OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE C::TY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH CARE-A-VAN, INC. , TO PROVIDE
SPECIALIZED TRANSPORTATION WITHIN THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS
WHEREAS, Care-A-Van, Inc. providas transportation services to the elderly,
disabled and economically disadvantaged citizens of Fort Collins, which
specialized services are not available through the City's Transfort bus system;
and
WHEREAS, the City desires to provide transportation service to all its
citizens and has previously satisfactcrily contracted with Care-A-Van, Inc. , to
furnish this specialized service; and
WHEREAS, Ten Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($10,500) is available in the
General Fund and One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($140,000) in UMTA Section
9 grant funds has been allocated for Care-A-Van Inc. , to provide the City' s
total contribution of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($150,500)
under the terms of the proposed contract with Care-A-Van, Inc. ; and
WHEREAS, in the event federal finds available to the City are decreased,
the allocation of pass-through funds to Care A-Van, Inc. , will be decreased
proportionately.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED EIY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the City Manager be, and he herety is, authorized to enter into a contract
with Care-A-Van, Inc. , to provide transportation services to elderly, disabled
and economically disadvantaged citizens of Fort Collins for a sum not to exceed
One Hundred Fifty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($150,500) .
Passed and adopted at a regular neeting of the City Council held this 15th
day of January, A.D. , 1991.
