OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A REVISED
EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
AND STEVEN C. BURKETT
WHEREAS, under Article III , Section 1 of the City Charter, the City Council
is to appoint and fix the salary of a city manager who shall be the chief
executive officer and head of the administrative branch of City government; and
WHEREAS, since April 7, 1986, Steven C. Burkett has served as City Manager
of the City pursuant to the provisions of an employment agreement dated April 7,
1986; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 91-127, the Council directed the Mayor and Mayor Pro
Tem to review the employment agreement of the City Manager and make
recommendations to the Council regarding any proposed revisions to the terms and
conditions thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Council and the City Manager have completed such review and
are jointly recommending to the Council the acceptance of a revised employment
agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference as Exhibit "A" ; and
WHEREAS, the Council is desirous of approving the revised agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to execute the attached employment
agreement between the City and Steven C. Burkett upon the terms and conditions
stated therein, which agreement shall take effect January 1 , 1992.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 17th day of December, A.D. 1991 .

RESOLUTION 91-157
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE
POUDRE FIRE AUTHORITY FOR THE YEAR 1992
WHEREAS, the City is a party to an Intergovernmental Agreement with the
Poudre Valley Fire Protection District dated December 22, 1981 and amended
November 3, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Agreement provides that the City shall
contribute funding for maintenance and operation costs to the Authority based
on a "Revenue Allocation Formula" ; and
WHEREAS, the 1992 Revenue Allocation Formula is .303 of one cent of the
City's sales and use tax and 5. 177 mills of the operating mill levy of the City' s
property taxes; and
WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Agreement also provides that the Authority
may request funds from the City for capital costs; and
WHEREAS, for 1992, the Council has identified an additional one mill of
City property tax as an appropriate source for funding the Poudre Fire
Authority's 1992 budget expenditures for capital costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1 . That there is hereby appropriated from the General Fund the
amount of Six Million One Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Seven Hundred Fourteen
Dollars ($6, 185,714) for the maintenance and operation costs of the Poudre Fire
Authority for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1992.
Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated from the General Fund the
amount of Six Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($620,000) for the capital costs
of the Poudre Fire Authority for the fiscal year ending December 31 , 1992.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 19th
day of November, A.D. 1991 .
