HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-161-12/03/1991-ADOPTING MISSION STATEMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLAN POLICIES AND OBJECTIVES TRANSPORTATION PLAN RESOLUTION 91- 161 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS ADOPTING THE MISSION STATEMENT, POLICIES AND OBJECTIVES OF THE FORT COLLINS AREA TRANSPORTATION PLAN AS AN ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that the development of a Transportation Plan is one of its paramount policy issues; and WHEREAS, the Council directed the Ad-Hoc Transportation Committee, a volunteer citizen advisory committee, to develop a multi -modal transportation policy for the City; and WHEREAS, the Ad-Hoc Transportation Committee has completed the development of Mission Statements, Policies and Objectives of the Fort Collins Area Transportation Plan dated November 19, 1991 ("the Plan") ; and WHEREAS, the Plan is a public statement of the City's policies and objectives with regard to transportation; and WHEREAS, on October 21, 1991, after conducting a public hearing and upon review of said proposed Plan, the Planning and Zoning Board approved the Plan and recommended that said Plan be adopted as a part of the City's Comprehensive Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1 . That the Plan be and hereby is adopted and incorporated into the City of Fort Collins Comprehensive Plan for the purpose of providing policy support for transportation related decision-making. Section 2. That the Plan shall replace the existing Transportation Element of the City of Fort Collins Comprehensive Plan of 1977.
