OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD
AND DEFERRING CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONAL APPOINTMENTS
WHEREAS, one vacancy currently exists on the Planning and Zoning Board, another
vacancy will exist as of April 10, 1996, and a third vacancy will exist as of July 1, 1996, due to the
resignations of Gary Carnes and Lloyd Walker and the expiration of the tci m of Bernie Strom; and
WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the applications of persons interested in filling said
vacancies; and
WHEREAS, the regular Board and Commission application process will occur in April of
1996, with applications to be submitted no later than April 17, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the Council believes it to be in the best interests of the City to fill the existing
vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Board and to defer consideration of the other vacancies until
such time as additional applications for appointment have been reviewed by the Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, as follows:
Section 1. That the following named person be, and hereby is, appointed as a member
of the Planning and Zoning Board with a term to begin immediately and to expire as set forth below:

Section 2. That the filling of the vacancies which will exist on April 10, 1996, and July
1, 1996, is hereby deferred by the Council until additional applications have been reviewed and
recommendations received by the Council with regard to such vacancies.
