OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING AN EIGHTEEN MONTH LEASE OF
CITY-OWNED PROPERTY AT 6570 PORTNER ROAD
WHEREAS,the City of Fort Collins is the owner of the transit facility at 6570 Portner Road,
including a modular unit previously occupied by the City's Dial-A-Ride program; and
WHEREAS, that facility has been vacated by the Dial-A-Ride program, and is not otherwise
required at this time for the provision of transit services; and
WHEREAS, the lease of such facility to Care-A-Van/SAINT, Inc. will enable continued
cooperative service provision between the SAINT program and the City's other transit services; and
WHEREAS, such lease would further result in revenues to the City in the amount of$8,640
during the term of the lease, along with $208 per month in utility reimbursements; and
WHEREAS, under Section 23-114 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, the Council is
authorized to lease any and all interests in real property owned in the name of the City, provided that
Council first finds that the lease is in the best interests of the City.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. Leasing the subject property is in the best interests of the City of Fort Collins.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Lease Agreement
for a term of eighteen (18) months with Care-A-Van/SAINT, Inc. for the modular unit at 6570
Portner Road, at the rate of Four Hundred Eighty Dollars ($480) per month.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 19th day of March,
A.D. 1996.
