OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO FILL A
VACANCY FOR COUNCILMEMBER FOR DISTRICT 6
ON THE FORT COLLINS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, a vacancy for Council District 6 was created by the resignation
of Councilmember Gerry Horak on October 28, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Fort Collins provides that the City
Council shall fill such vacancy by appointment within 45 days, and that the
appointed Councilmember shall serve until the next regular election, when
District 6 voters will elect a Council representative for a four-year term; and
WHEREAS, the Council has carefully considered a number of applications
received from qualified District 6 residents to fill such vacancy; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint Charles-Wanner to fill
said vacancy on the Fort Collins City Council until the April 4, 1995 regular
municipal election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that Charles Wanner is hereby appointed to fill the vacancy created by the
resignation of Councilmember Gerry Horak and to serve as District 6 Councilmember
on the Fort Collins City Council until an elected representative for District 6
has taken office following the April 4, 1995 regular municipal election.
