HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-096-06/02/1992-620 NORTH WOOD STREET CONCRETE PRODUCTS COMPANY HENKE PURCHASE AGREEMENT SERVICE CENTER RESOLUTION 92- 96 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 620 NORTH WOOD STREET WHEREAS, the City has entered into an Agreement of Purchase and Sale with Mr. Wesley Henke, sole owner of Concrete Products Company, for the purchase of approximately 5.37 acres of property immediately south of and adjacent to the Wood Street Service Center, described on the attached Exhibit "A," for the amount of One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($190,000) ; and WHEREAS, the Agreement of Purchase and Sale is contingent upon Council approval of said Agreement; and WHEREAS, said property is desirable for integration into the overall Wood Street master planning efforts; and WHEREAS, funds equal to the purchase price of One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars (E190,000) are budgeted and appropriated and available in the Light and Power Utility Capital Program Fund for this purpose; and WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to acquire this property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1. That the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to purchase that certain property located at 620 Wood Street, consisting of a small office building, a concrete curing building and approximately 5.37 acres of land, which is described on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, for a purchase price not to exceed One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($190,000) . Section 2. That the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute all such documents as may be necessary to complete said transaction. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 2nd day of June, A.D. 1992. Mayor ` ATTEST: R City Clerk Exhibit A All that portion of the NE 1/4 NW 1/4 of Section 11, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the 6th P.M. , described as follows, to wit: Considering the North line of the NW 1/4 of said Section 11 as bearing due East and West and with all bearings herein relative thereto: beginning at a point which is the intersection of the West line of the NE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of said Section 11 and the centerline of Elm Street, said point bears East 1323.8 feet and again South 00*26' East 484.1 feet from the Northwest corner of said Section 11; thence North 89*36' East 1103.4 feet to the Southwesterly line of the Colorado and Southern Railway Company right-of-way, thence along said right-of-way line North 65*25' West 894.7 feet; thence West 293.0 feet to the West line of the NE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of said Section 11; thence South 00026' East 380.00 feet to the point of beginning, subject, however, to a right-of-way for city street 40 feet wide along the South side of said parcel and a right-of-way for road as now constructed and used along the West side of said parcel .
