OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
WITH THE STATE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE, BY AND THROUGH
THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF COLORADO
STATE UNIVERSITY, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PROVIDING TRANSIT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City has traditionally provided transit services to the
students of Colorado State University ("CSU") ; and
WHEREAS, the City has developed a continuing financial relationship with
the Associated Students of CSU to help pay for these transit services; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to provide future transit services for the
benefit of the CSU students and the general public; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has found that it is in
the best interests of the citizens of Fort Collins to enter into an agreement
with the Associated Students of CSU concerning transit services; and
WHEREAS, Section 29-1-203, C.R.S. , authorizes governmental entities to
cooperate or contract with one another in order to provide any function, service
or facility lawfully authorized to each if such a contract is properly authorized
by each party thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into an agreement with the
State Board of Agriculture, by and through the Executive Branch of the Associated
Students of CSU, for the purpose of providing transit services from January 27,
1992, through December 31, 1992. The terms of the agreement shall include the
following provisions:
1. The City shall provide transit services from January 27, 1992,
through December 31, 1992; and
2. The Associated Students of CSU shall contribute to the City
the sum of Three and 60/100 (E3.60) per semester for each
full -time, fee-paying student. In addition, the Office of
International Training Programs shall contribute Three and
60/100 Dollars (b3.60) per student per semester for
international students enrolled in their program.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 5th day of May, A.D. 1992.
