HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-143-09/06/1994-110 NORTH HOWES STREET ANDREW SAMPSON BLOCK 31 LARIMER COUNTY LEASE RESOLUTION 94-143 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE LEASE OF 110 NORTH HOWES STREET, FORT COLLINS, COLORADO WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins, Colorado ("the City") , and the County of Larimer, Colorado ("the County") , jointly own the property located at 110 N. Howes Street, Fort Collins, Colorado ("the Property") ; and WHEREAS, Dr. Andrew Sampson has proposed to lease the Property from the City and the County for the principal purpose of a dental practice; and WHEREAS, the City and County desire to enter into this lease in order to generate revenue from the Property; and WHEREAS, the Lease Agreement is scheduled to be considered by the County Commissioners of the County; and WHEREAS, Section 23-114 of the City Code authorizes the City Council to lease real property owned by the City; and WHEREAS, Section 23-114 of the Code of the City requires that the Council find the Lease Agreement with Dr. Andrew Sampson is in the best interest of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, as follows: Section 1 . That the proposed lease of the Property is in the best interest of the City of Fort Collins. Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Lease Agreement with Dr. Andrew Sampson for the Property, subject to approval by the County, which provides for the following: A guaranteed rental term of one (1) year for the Property with a base monthly rental of Five Hundred Ninety Dollars ($590.00) per month and with Dr. Sampson obligated to pay the costs of electricity, gas, and property taxes associated with or assessed against the Property.
