OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, on April 19, 1994, Council adopted on second reading Ordinance No.
58, 1994, creating the Youth Advisory Board (the "Board) ; and
WHEREAS, the Board was created (1) to gather information from, and
otherwise communicate with, other groups, organizations and agencies regarding
youth-oriented issues and problems; (r) to document and discuss issues of
importance to youth in the Fort Collins community, specifically as they affect
city-operated services; (3) to review and discuss legislation that may affect
youth; and (4) to recommend to City Council local legislation and policy actions
or changes which would enhance the status of youth in the Fort Collins community;
and
WHEREAS, applications for the Board have been solicited and interviews
conducted by Councilmembers Smith and Kneeland; and
WHEREAS, Council wishes to appoint the charter members of the Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1 . That the following named persons, all of whom are under the age
of 21 years at the time of appointment, be, and they hereby are, appointed as
members of the Youth Advisory Board with terms to expire as set forth below:

Mathew Alvarez July 1, 1997
Callie Sigl July 1, 1997
Stacie Smith July 1 , 1998
Dallas Davis July 1 , 1998
Lois Switzer July 1 , 1998
Section 2. That the appointment of the following individuals by the Youth
Leadership Committee of Team Fort Collins from its members, both of whom are
under the age of 21 years, is hereby affirmed by the City Council . Said
individuals shall serve terms to expire as set forth below:

Reagan Hogerty July 1 , 1997
Section 3 . That the foregoing appointed members are all qualified by
experience, training, age, ethnicity, or socio-economic background to represent
a diverse cross-section of youth in the Fort Collins community.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 2nd day of August, A.D. 1994.
