OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
FINDING SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE AND
INITIATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
WILLOW SPRINGS ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, a written petition, together with four (4) prints of an annexation
map, was heretofore filed with the City Clerk requesting the annexation of
certain property to be known as the Willow Springs Annexation; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins desires to initiate
annexation proceedings in accordance with law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Fort Collins hereby accepts the
annexation petition for the Willow Springs Annexation, more particularly
described as situate in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to wit:
Two tracts of land situate in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 6, and in
the Northeast 1/4 of Section_ 7,- Township ri North,- Range 68- West of
the 6th P.M. , Larimer County, Colorado, which considering the East
line of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 6 as bearing N 00°24'30"
W and with all bearings contained herein relative thereto which are
more particularly described as follows:
Tract "A" : Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Section 6 and
run thence N 00°24'30" W 1585.77 feet along the said East line to a
point on the centerline of an existing drain ditch; thence along
said centerline, N 80021' 10" W 1957.29 feet to a point on the
Easterly right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad; thence S
14030'38" W 2044.48 feet along the said Easterly right-of-way line
to a point on the centerline of the Mail Creek Ditch; thence along
the said centerline, N 89°20'26" E 392.28 feet and again S 88°50'46"
E 240.69 feet and again S 66050'47" E 59.31 feet and again S
51035'44" E 82.11 feet and again S 45`55'33" E 73. 12 feet and again
S 44°27'07" E 35.54 feet and again S 30058'21" E 74.95 feet and
again S 09026'27" E 104.01 feet and again S 23007'05" E 41 .74 feet
and again S 53'04'49" E 62.65 feet and again S 74°24'52" E 366.66
feet and again S 67040'49" E 227.28 feet and again S 56°16'34" E
148.84 feet and again S 69013'20" E 568.27 feet and again S
55011' 17" E 82.45 feet and again S 52005150" E 278.70 feet to a
point on the East line of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 7;
thence N 00012147" W 1146.65 feet along the said East line to the
point ofbLTinning, containing 116-.93TI acres more or less and being
subject to a right-of-way for Timberline Road over the East 30.00
feet thereof and to a right-of-way for the Mail Creek Ditch as it
now exists.
Tract "B" : Beginning at the South 1/4 corner of said Section 6 and
run thence N 00021'27" W 1314.63 feet along the West line of the
Southeast 1/4 of said Section 6 to the Northwest corner of the
Southwest 1/4 of the said Southeast 1/4; thence N 89°41'50" E 352.17
feet along the North line of the Southwest 1/4 of the said Southeast
1/4 to a point on the Westerly right-of-way line of the Union
Pacific Railroad; thence S 14°30'38" W 1359.82 feet along the
Westerly right-of-way line to a point on the South line of the
Southeast 1/4 of said Section 6; thence S 89036'56" W 3.25 feet
along the said South line to the point of beginning, containing
5.3632 acres more or less.
Section 2. That the Council hereby finds and determines that the annexation
petition and accompanying map are in substantial compliance with the Municipal
Annexation Act.
Section 3. That the Notice attached hereto be adopted as a part of this
Resolution. Said Notice establishes the date, time and place when a public
hearing will be held regarding the passage of an annexation ordinance pertaining
to the above described property. The City Clerk is directed to publish a copy
of this Resolution and said Notice as provided in the Municipal Annexation Act.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 18th day of January, A.D. 199 .

NOTICE
TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City Council of the City of Fort Collins has
adopted a Resolution initiating annexation proceedings for the Willow Springs
Annexation, said Annexation being more particularly described in said Resolution,
a copy of which precedes this Notice.
That, on March 1, 1994, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as
the matter may come on for hearing in the Council Chambers in the City Hall , 300
Laporte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, the Fort Collins City Council will hold
a public hearing upon the annexation petition for the purpose of finding and
determining whether the property proposed to be annexed meets the applicable
requirements of Colorado law and is considered eligible for annexation. At such
hearing, any persons may appear and present such evidence as they may desire.
The City of Fort Collins will make reasonable accommodations for access to
City services, programs and activities and will make special communication
arrangements for persons with disabilities. Please call 221-6515 for assistance.
