OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PURCHASING AND RISK MANAGEMENT
TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH BLACK AND VEATCH ENGINEERS
WHEREAS, in December of 1988, the City issued a request for proposals
for design, bidding and construction administration services for the
expansion of the Water Quality laboratory; and
WHEREAS, an expansion of the laboratory is necessary to alleviate
crowded conditions and to comply with new rules promulgated under the
federal Safe Drinking Water Act; and
WHEREAS, upon analysis of the proposals, it has been determined that
Black and Veatch Engineers should be engaged to perform such work; and
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a fee not to exceed Ninety Thousand
Seven Hundred and Sixty-nine Dollars ($90,769) for the performance of such
work; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-129 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered until approved by the City Council in an
open Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Director of Purchasing and Risk Management be, and he
hereby is, authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with
Black and Veatch Engineers for a total cost not to exceed Ninety Thousand
Seven Hundred and Sixty-nine Dollars ($90,769) .
