OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ESTABLISHING RENTAL RATES TO BE
CHARGED FOR THE CITY'S SURPLUS WATER
WHEREAS, each year after the irrigation companies have established the
annual water assessment rates, the Water Board makes a recommendation to
the Council on the rental rates to be charged for the City's surplus water;
and
WHEREAS, on February 17, 1989, the Water Board discussed the rental
rates for 1989 and recommended the following rates for the 1989 irrigation
season:
Irrigation Company Proposed 1989 Rental Charge*
NCWCD Water (CBT) $ 12.00/ac-ft
North Poudre Irrigation Company $ 75.00/share
Water Supply & Storage Company $1500.00/share
Pleasant Valley & Lake Canal Co. $ 70.00/share
New Mercer Ditch Company $ 300.00/share
Larimer County Canal No. 2 $ 150.00/share
Arthur Irrigation Company $ 8.00/share
* For late season rentals, rates may be adjusted to reflect the
remaining yield or the prevalent market price of the water stock
being rented.
WHEREAS, municipal supply and demand will be monitored and quantities
available for rent will be determined periodically; and
WHEREAS, an adequate amount of water will be reserved to ensure that
the City's requirements are met.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the above rental rates be, and they hereby are, approved for
surplus water for 1989.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Water Utilities Director or his
representative be, and he hereby is, authorized to rent surplus water at
the rates specified.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting o the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 21st day of March, 1989.
