OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY PURCHASING AGENT
TO APPROVE THE CASE NOT REQUIRING BIDDING PROCEDURE
TO PURCHASE A STANLEY TRAILER MOUNTED HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
AND ACCESSORIES FROM TEAGUE EQUIPMENT COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Water Utility has conducted research into various mobile
hydraulic units; and
WHEREAS, the Utility's research has proven the Stanley unit and
accessories to be the best possible system considering all aspects of the
system; and
WHEREAS, the Utility currently owns a Stanley hydraulic unit and the
purchase of an additional unit will improve its flexibility and response
time as well as facilitate easier training and operation; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase have been budgeted and approved in
the Water and Sewer budget for 1989; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-123(a) (4) of the Code of the City of
Fort Collins, the Purchasing Agent shall have the power to negotiate the
purchases of items based upon a particular individual usage or professional
advice as a Case Not Requiring Bidding where it is not practical to secure
the purchases of such items by a formal bid procedure; and
WHEREAS, the Code further provides that no such purchase costing the
City more than Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) shall be made until
approved by the City Council in an open meeting.
NOW, TH: --FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Purchasing Agent be, and he hereby is, authorized to
approve the purchase of the Stanley hydraulic system and accessories
supplied by Teague Equipment Company at a total cost of Twenty-Six
Thousand, Two Hundred Seventy-Eight Dollars and Fifty Cents ($26,278.50) .
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
4th day of April , A.D. , 1989.
