HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-079-04/04/1989-AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH IMS INFRASTRUC RESOLUTION 89-79 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH IMS INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOR THE UPDATING OF THE PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM WHEREAS, in 1987 the City of Fort Collins solicited consultants for the professional services required for the development of a comprehensive, computerized Pavement Management Program; and WHEREAS, after reviewing proposals and interviewing the top five consultants for said professional services, the City selected IMS Infrastructure Management Systems as the best qualified firm for this project; and WHEREAS, the services provided by IMS included the development of a street system inventory based on a laser road surface survey and Dynaflect testing of the City's pavements; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to insure the effectiveness of the Pavement Management Program by periodically retesting pavements and updating this street inventory; and WHEREAS, staff has negotiated a time and reimbursable direct cost agreement with IMS for a sum not to exceed Thirty-Two Thousand Dollars ($32,000) ; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8-120 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, no professional services agreement in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) shall be entered into until approved by the City Council in an open Council meeting. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, that the Purchasing Agent be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with IMS Infrastructure Systems for retesting pavements and updating the Pavement Management Program inventory for a sum not to exceed Thirty-Two Thousand Dollars ($32,000) .
