OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH
THE STATE OF COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF PARKS
AND OUTDOOR RECREATION FOR THE LEASING
OF A PORTION OF THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT #1 SITE
WHEREAS, the State of Colorado Department of Parks and Outdoor
Recreation desires to lease from the City of Fort Collins a portion of the
site of Water Treatment Plant #1 for the purposes of applying the site to
recreational uses, including rafting and picnicking; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that
it is in the best interests of the City as well as the citizens of the
state to cooperate with the State of Colorado in the implementation of the
State's plans for the establishment of said recreational uses upon the
site; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that said site should be
leased to the State for a period of five (5) years, upon terms and
conditions as contained in said lease.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an
intergovernmental agreement with the State of Colorado Department of Parks
and Outdoor Recreation for the purpose of leasing a portion of the Water
Treatment Plant #1 site for recreational uses including rafting and
picnicking, all upon the terms and conditions as set forth in the lease
agreement.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 4th day of A '1 , A.D. 9.
