OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
STATING THE SUPPORT OF THE COUNCIL
FOR THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE
COLORADO MUNICIPAL LEAGUE TO BE HELD
IN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS IN 1992
WHEREAS, the City has a vital interest in enhancing the economic
health of the community by increasing tourism and conventions; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has an interest in showcasing Fort
Collins' excellent quality of life, amenities and facilities to
representatives of other Colorado communities; and
WHEREAS, the hospitality industry in Fort Collins will enjoy and
benefit from hosting approximately 700 municipal government officials from
throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, the use of City facilities will convey a positive and
cooperative image of the City; and
WHEREAS, Colorado State University will benefit from the statewide
exposure of its campus.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
1. That the City Council endorses and will support the 1992
annual conference of the Colorado Municipal League in Fort
Collins;
2. That the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to work
with representatives of the Fort Collins Convention and
Visitors Bureau and the Colorado Municipal League to confirm
Fort Collins as the location for the 1992 conference; and
3. That, upon confirmation, the City Manager shall present to
the City Council a staffing and financing plan to support the
services and events necessary to make this conference
successful .
Passed and adopted at an adjourned meeting of the Council of the City
of Fort Collins held this 30th day of May, A.D. 1 9,
