OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REAPPOINTING GORDON F. ESPLIN
AS TEMPORARY JUDGE AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AN EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Article VII of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins allows the Council to
designate a Temporary Judge to serve in the absence of the Municipal Judge; and
WHEREAS,the Council wishes to reappoint Gordon F. Esplin to serve as Temporary Judge
at the discretion of Municipal Judge Kathleen Lane.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That Gordon F. Esplin be, and hereby is , appointed Temporary Judge, to
serve as deemed necessary by Municipal Judge Kathleen Lane for a term beginning July 1, 1997 and
ending June 30, 1999.
Section 2. That the compensation to be paid by the City to said Temporary Judge shall
be at the rate of Seventy-five Dollars ($75) per hour.
Section 3. That the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to enter into an Employment
Agreement between the City and Gordon F. Esplin, to effectuate the purposes of this Resolution.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this
3rd day of June, A.D. 1997.
