OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO BOB WINOKUR FOR
HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY AS COUNCILMEMBER AND MAYOR
WHEREAS, Bob Winokur was elected to serve as an At-Large Councilmember and
took office on April 14, 1987, and was subsequently elected as Councilmember for
Council District 2 and took office on April 9, 1991, and served in that capacity
until his resignation on January 4, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Winokur was selected from among the Councilmembers to serve
as Assistant Mayor from March 15, 1988 until March 14, 1989 and as Mayor from
March 14, 1989 until April 3, 1990; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure Mr. Winokur also served as a member of the
Council Finance Committee, the Council Governance Committee, the Board of
Directors of Platte- River- Power- Authority, the Poudre Fire Authority ffoard of-
Directors, the Fire and Police Pension Boards, the Larimer County Fair Board, the
Public Access Committee, the Water Demand Management Committee, the Water
Quality/Water Treatment Master Plan Committee, the Underground Storage Tank
Advisory Committee, the Health and Safety Subcommittee, the Economic Development
Subcommittee, and the Boards and Commissions Review Subcommittee; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Winokur also served as a liaison to various Boards and
Commissions and in numerous other assignments during his tenures as Councilmember
and Mayor; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Winokur also deserves recognition for his contributions and
service to the Fort Collins community, prior to his Council service, as a member
of the 1986 Charter Review Committee and the Cable TV Board;_ anti
WHEREAS, this period of time has seen great growth and change in the City,
and Mr. Winokur was called upon to devote substantial time and energy to the
affairs of the City of Fort Collins, especially in his role as Mayor and as a
long-term member of the Council Finance Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the City expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Bob Winokur for
his service and contributions to the community as Councilmember and Mayor.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of th 'ty Council held this 18th
day of January, A.D. 1994.
