OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ROUTE 10 OF THE
TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT PLAN 1991-1995
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended,
the City of Fort Collins is required to adopt a comprehensive plan for the
development and extension of mass transit; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as
amended, the City has adopted a Transit Development Plan for the period 1991
throuah- 1995 ("th p- Plan") a- copy- of which- is- on- file with the Office of the- City
Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the Plan contains ten (10) routes for Transfort services, but only
nine (9) such routes have been implemented; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of Fort Collins for the
City to implement Route 10 of the Plan, an east Prospect corridor route, by
providing Transfort services along said route; and
WHEREAS, the Council has previously appropriated, as part of the 1994
Appropriation Ordinance, the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) for
the expansion of Transportation Services; and
WHEREAS, only One-Hundred Twel e-Thousand Dollars (`„12,0001 of said amount
will actually be needed in 1994 for the implementation of Route 10.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the City Council hereby authorizes the implementation of Route 10 of the
Plan by extending Transfort services to include said route, and allocates the sum
of One Hundred Twelve Thousand Dollars ($112,000) of previously appropriated
funds to be used for such purpose.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 19th
day of April , 1994.
