OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE TO THE
LARIMER COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, the Larimer County Board of Commissioners (the "Commissioners")
recently created a County Environmental Advisory Board (the "Board"), which Board
is composed of nine members; and
WHEREAS, the Board serves as a sounding board for overall environmental
policy and issues for the Commissioners and County departments; and
WHEREAS, the provisions for the composition of the Board require that the
Cities of Fort Collins and Loveland each appoint one regular member of the Board
and an alternate member; and
WHEREAS, the remaining seven members of the Board are appointed by the
Commissioners and reflect diverse geographical , demographical , and technical and
non-technical backgrounds; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners have suggested, and the City Council agrees that
members of the City's Natural Resources Advisory Board should be appointed to
serve as the City's representatives to the Board in order to provide a formal
link between the City and Larimer County on environmental issues; and
WHEREAS, by adoption of Resolution 93-89 on June 15, 1993, the Council
appointed Natural Resources Advisory Board members Will Smith and Bill Miller as
the regular member and alternate member, respectively; and
WHEREAS, Will Smith was appointed to the Fort Collins City Council on
February 17, 1994 and is no longer a member of the Natural Resources Advisory
Board; and
WHEREAS, Council wishes to appoint new regular and alternate members to the
Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows,:
Section 1. That the following members of the City's Natural Resources
Advisory Board are hereby appointed as the City of Fort Collins representative
and alternate representative to serve as members of the Larimer County
Environmental Advisory Board:
Bill Miller
Tim Johnson (Alternate)
Section 2. That said Natural Resources Advisory Board members shall serve
as the City's representative and alternate representative until such time as such
persons are no longer members of the Natural Resources Advisory Board or until
December 31, 1996, whichever shall occur first.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins held this 15th day of March, A . 1994.
