OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN APPLICATIONS
FOR TEMPORARY USE PERMITS WITH
THE NORTHERN COLORADO WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT
WHEREAS, from time to time, lire City of Fort Collins accepts units of Colorado Big
Thompson ("CBT") water of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District ("NCWCD") to
satisfy the City's raw water requirements; and
WHEREAS, according to the rules and procedures of the NCWCD, the City may apply for
annual temporary use permits for using said water pending final application for a water allotment
contract approved by City ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the NCWCD requires that a temporary use permit application be signed by the
City Manager or other City official authorized to do so by a City Council resolution authorizing the
signing of that specific application or that Council adopt a standing resolution that authorizes the
City Manager or other City official to sign all applications for temporary use permits; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined for efficiency of administration that it is in the best
interests of the City to authorize the City Manager to sign all applications with the NCWCD for
temporary use permits for CBT water units.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, that the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to sign on behalf of the City
temporary use per applications for CBT water units, and annual renewals thereof,with NCWCD.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collius held this
