HomeMy WebLinkAbout1995-004-01/03/1995-CORPORATE MEMBERSHIPS OUTSIDE ORGANIZATIONS POLICY RESOLUTION 95-4 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AFFIRMING THE POLICY ON CORPORATE MEMBERSHIPS IN OUTSIDE ORGANIZATIONS WHEREAS, Resolution 91-135 establishes the City Council's policy on corporate memberships in outside organizations; and WHEREAS, Resolutions 91-135 and 93-27 establish corporate memberships in certain outside organizations; and WHEREAS, these memberships serve a bona fide public purpose by providing the City with information, research, workshops, training, and involvement in issues; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to decide which corporate memberships the City should hold. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1. Corporate memberships shall be held by the City in the following organizations: Public Technology, Inc. (PTI) American Public Power Association (APPA) Innovations Group, Inc. (CCAN) American Public Transit Association (APTA) Colorado Municipal League (CML) Rocky Mountain Electric League (RMEL) National League of Cities (NLC) Colorado Water Congress (CWC) U.S. Conference of Mayors Colorado Association of Municipal Utilities (CAMU) International Council for Local Environmental Initiative (I.C.L.E.I.) Section 2. That the lobbying efforts of these organizations, if any, should not be construed as the official position of the City of Fort Collins unless specifically endorsed by resolution of the Council.
