OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE CITIZEN ADVISORY PANEL
FOR THE EXECUTIVE SEARCH PROCESS
WHEREAS, City Manager Steven C. Burkett resigned his position effective October 21,
1994; and
WHEREAS, the City Council will engage in a search for a new City Manager; and
WHEREAS, to conduct an effective search, the City Council wishes to receive input from
both the citizens of Fort Collins and City staff members; and
WHEREAS, by adoption of Resolution 94-207 on December 6, 1994, Council established
a citizen advisory panel, consisting of thirteen(13) members, to participate in the executive search
process, which panel is to consist of residents of the Fort Collins Urban Growth Area who represent
a cross-section of the Fort Collins community; and
WHEREAS, the role of the citizen advisory panel will be (1) to provide a community
perspective regarding information to be used in the development of the City Manager position
profile; and (2) to conduct panel interviews with the final candidates and provide feedback to the
City Council on the strengths and-weaknesses-of each candidate; and-
WHEREAS, the ad hoc Council Liaison Committee, consisting of Councilmembers Gina
7anett, Bob McCluskey, and Chuck Wanner, has interviewed applicants for the citizen advisory
panel and has made recommendations for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the following named individuals be, and hereby are, appointed as members
of the Citizen Advisory Panel, who shall serve until such time as final selection of a City Manager
is made:

Mims Harris
Kelly Ohlson
Herbert Pedri
George Reed
Greg Snyder
Louise Stitzel
Ed Stoner
Sue Weckerly
Sharon Winfree
Section 2. That the following named individuals shall be appointed, in the order shown, to
serve as members of the Citizen Advisory Panel if any of the persons named in Section 1 above are
unable to accept their proposed appointment to the Citizen Advisory Panel.

Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this
