OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF A TYMC0 7000 FHD AIR SWEEPER
FROM ACE EQUIPMENT, INC.
WHEREAS, Ace Equipment, Inc. sells the Tymco 7000 FHD air sweeper; and
WHEREAS, the Streets Department has conducted testing of the Tymco 7000 FHD
air sweeper and found it to be more effective at street sweeping than all other
machines available; and
WHEREAS, Ace Equipment, Inc. is offering a demonstration model air sweeper
machine to the City at a reduced cost; and the Purchasing Agent has determined
Ace Equipment, Inc. is the only responsible source for this sweeper as required
by Section 8-160 (d) (1) (a) of the Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed and approved the justification for
this acquisition; and
WHEREAS, Section 8-160(d) (3) of the Code requires approval of this
purchasing method by the City Council for items costing more than Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($50,000) prior to acquisition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the acquisition of a Tymco 7000 FHD air sweeper from Ace Equipment, Inc. ,
for the cost of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000) is hereby approved.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 16th
day of February, A.D. , 1993.
