OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING A THREE YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PLAN
FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION FUNDS
PROVIDED THROUGH THE INTERMODAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION
EFFICIENCY ACT OF 1991
WHEREAS, the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991
establishes local responsibilities for the programming of federally funded
transportation projects and provides that the determination of transportation
needs and the prioritization of projects shall be on a regional level ; and
WHEREAS, the North Front Range Transportation and Air Quality Planning
Council (NFRT & AQPC) has been established by the City of Fort Collins and other
regional governmental entities as the regional agency which is responsible for
determining such transportation needs and prioritizing transportation projects;
and
WHEREAS, the staff of the City has examined the transportation needs of the
City and has presented its report to the City Council for consideration; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a FY 1994-1996 Transportation
Improvement Program for the City of Fort Collins indicating the City's
prioritized list of projects should be submitted to the NFRT & AQPC in order that
the NFRT & AQPC may incorporate the City's list of proposed projects into the
Regional Transportation Improvement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the City Council does hereby propose to the NFRT & AQPC the City's list of
projects proposed for Fiscal Years 1994-1996, which list of projects, together
with estimated costs, is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein
by reference.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the C cil of the C' of Fort
Collins held the 3rd day of August, A.D. 1993.
