OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS /
CREATING AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING TASK FORCE /
WHEREAS, in October 1992, the City Council adopted an affordable housing
policy which defines the City's role and responsibilities related to affordable
housing issues in the community; and //
WHEREAS, on June 22, 1993, the Council conducted a work session to review
a variety of implementation strategies for the policy recommended by four Mini-
Task Forces, one of which was to create an Affordable Hpusing Board; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration, Council has determined that an Affordable
Housing Task Force should be established to advise the City Council and help
staff analyze various affordable housing issues and aid in the development of
City-wide affordable housing programs; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that such advisory task force should
consist of representatives with expertise /in affordable housing issues,
including, without limitation, developers, )enders, service agencies and the
community at large.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
as follows:
Section 1. That there shall be and is hereby created an Affordable Housing
Task Force (the "Task Force") .
Section 2. That the Task Force shall consist of nine (9) members to be
appointed by the City Council by resolution, which members shall possess
expertise in affordable housing issues, including, without limitation, issues
pertaining to development, finance, lending, charitable and low income services
and general community issues. Each member shall serve without compensation for
the duration of existence of the Task Force. All members shall be subject to
removal by the City Council . If a vacancy occurs on the Task Force, it shall be
filled by the City Council .

Section 3. That the Task Force shall continue in existence until August
1, 1995, at which time the Task Force shall automatically cease to exist without
further action o the City Council .
Section/4. That the duties and functions of the Task Force shall be to
provide substantive advice to City Council and City staff with regard to
prioritiz�t'ion and implementation of the Affordable Housing Policy Mechanisms
describeyi in Resolution 93-111.
