OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING THE "CITY STRUCTURE PLAN" MAP CHANGING THE
DESIGNATION OF A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF TRILBY
ROAD AND WEST OF CONSTELLATION DRIVE FROM
A LOW-DENSITY MIXED-USE NEIGHBORHOOD TO A MEDIUM DENSITY
MIXED-USE NEIGHBORHOOD DISTRICT
WHEREAS, on July 2, 1996, by Resolution 96-79, the City Council adopted the "City
Structure Plan"dated June 26, 1996, and on March 18, 1997, by Resolution 97-44, the City Council
amended the City Structure Plan to address issues raised by property owners regarding the proposed
new zoning of their properties; and
WHEREAS, the City Structure Plan illustrates in a simplified diagram the basic kinds of
"places" that make up the City, including neighborhoods, districts, corridors and edges and is a
general graphic illustration of the overall vision of the City, and a guide for determining more
specific policies, programs and projects necessary to implement such vision; and
WHEREAS, as a part of the original rezoning process which culminated in the adoption of
a new zoning map for the City(through the passage of Ordinance No. 52, 1997), certain issues arose
regarding the zoning considered to be most appropriate for that certain property located north of
Trilby Road and West of Constellation Drive, hereinafter referred to as the "Good Samaritan
Property"; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that a portion of said Good Samaritan Property
should appropriately have been placed in zone districts different than those originally contemplated
in Ordinance No. 52, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Council has further determined that the City Structure Plan Map should
accordingly be amended with respect thereto by describing a certain portion of the Good Samaritan
Property as being changed from a "Low Density Mixed-Use Residential Neighborhood" to a
"Medium Density Mixed-Use Residential Neighborhood."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS,that the City Structure Plan Map, dated June 26, 1996, a copy of which is on file in the
Office of the City Clerk,is hereby amended by the City Council by changing a portion of that certain
property known as the "Good Samaritan Property" from a Low-Density Mixed Use Neighborhood
to a Medium-Density Mixed Use Neighborhood as more particularly described on Exhibit "A,"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
