OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO ALAN APT
FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY
AS A COUNCILMEMBER
WHEREAS, Alan Apt was elected in 1993 for a four-year term as Councilmember
for District 5 and served in that capacity until 1997; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure, Mr. Apt served on numerous Council committees,
including the Ad Hoc Executive Search Firm Committee, the Ethics Review Board, the
Growth Management Committee, the Joint Utility District Advisory Committee, the
Legislative Review Committee, the Poudre R-1 Liaison Committee, and the Water Planning
Committee; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Apt also represented the City on various intergovernmental
committees and tasks forces, including the Growth Management and Land Use Working
Group; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Apt also served as a liaison to numerous Boards and Commissions
and in countless other assignments during his tenure as Councilmember; and
WHEREAS, this period of time has seen great growth and change in the City, and
Mr. Apt was called upon to devote substantial time and energy to the affairs of the City of
Fort Collins in his role of Councilmember.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS that the City expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to ALAN
APT for his outstanding service and contributions to the community as a Councilmember.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 15th day of
April, A.D. 1997.
