OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING THE"CITY STRUCTURE PLAN" TO
DELETE THE EXTENSION OF OVERLAND TRAIL ROAD
FROM DRAKE ROAD TO HORSETOOTH ROAD
WHEREAS, on July 2, 1996, by Resolution 96-79, the City Council adopted the "City
Structure Plan" dated June 26, 1996, and amended the City Structure Plan on March 18, 1997, to
address issues raised by property owners regarding the proposed new zoning of their properties; and
WHEREAS, the City Structure Plan illustrates in a simplified diagram the basic kinds of
"places" that make up the City, including neighborhoods, districts, corridors and edges and is a
general graphic illustration of the overall vision of the City, and a guide for determining more
specific policies, programs and projects necessary to implement such vision; and
WHEREAS,the City Structure Plan also depicts existing and proposed arterial and collector
streets as shown on the City's Master Street Plan; and
WHEREAS,the Master Street Plan reflects projected travel patterns through the year 2015
resulting from the basic urban form set forth in the City Structure Plan; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 97-53 adopted by the City Council on April 1, 1997, approved a
revised Master Street Plan that deletes the extension of Overland Trail Road from Drake Road to
Horsetooth Road; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the City Structure Plan to reflect this change in the
Master Street Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS,that the City Structure Plan,dated June 26, 1996, a copy of which is on file in the Office
of the City Clerk, is hereby amended by the City Council as shown on Exhibit"A" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by this reference.
