RESOLUTION 89-63
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
INITIATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
FORT COLLINS SUBSTATION ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins is the sole owner of certain real
property to be known as the Fort Collins Substation Annexation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to initiate annexation proceedings
in accordance with law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby desires to initiate
annexation proceedings in accordance with law for that certain property to
be known as the Fort Collins Substation Annexation, more particularly
described as situate in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to wit:
A tract of land situate in the Northwest Quarter of Section 16
and the East Half of Section 17, all in Township 7 North, Range
68 West of the 6th P.M. , Larimer County, Colorado, which
considering the East line of the Northeast Quarter of said
Section 17 as bearing S 00010'27" W and with all bearings
contained herein relative thereto, is contained within the
boundary lines which begin at the Northeast corner of said
Section 17 and run thence S 89°08'28" E 30.00 feet along the
North line of said Section 16; thence S 00°10'27" W 978.41 feet;
thence S 00°10'27" W 341 .07 feet; thence N 89°12'19" W 30.00 feet
to a point on the East line of said Section 17 ; thence
S 00°10'27" W 1319.56 feet to the East Quarter corner of said
Section 17; thence S 00°16'51" W 411 .40 feet along the East line
of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 17; thence S 85"06'46" W
30 . 12 feet ; thence N 00016 ' 51 " E 414 . 11 feet ; thence
N 00010'27" E 2203.32 feet; thence N 89°49'33" W 255.00 feet;
thence N 00010'27" E 410.81 feet to a point on the North line of
said Section 17; thence N 85°10'57" E 286.09 feet to the point of
beginning. Containing 5.4797 acres.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby initiates annexation
proceedings for the above described property.
Section 3. That the Notice attached hereto be adopted as a part of
this Resolution. Said Notice establishes the date, time and place when a
public hearing will be held regarding the passage of an annexation
ordinance pertaining to the above described property. The City Clerk is
directed to publish a copy of this Resolution and said Notice as provided
in the Municipal Annexation Act.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 21st day of M A.D. 19

NOTICE
TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City Council of the City of Fort Collins
has adopted a Resolution initiating annexation proceedings for the Fort
Collins Substation Annexation, said Annexation being more particularly
described in said Resolution, a copy of which precedes this Notice.
That, on May 2, 1989, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. , or as soon thereafter
as the matter may come on for hearing in the Council Chambers in the City
Nall , 300 Laporte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, the Fort Collins City
Council will hold a public hearing upon the annexation for the purpose of
finding and determining whether the property proposed to be annexed meets
the applicable requirements of Colorado law and is considered eligible for
annexation. At such hearing, any persons may appear and present such
evidence as they may desire.
