HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-161-12/01/1998-RECOMMENDING HIGHWAY CATEGORIES TO CDOT AND THE COLORADO STATE TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION 98-161 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS RECOMMENDING HIGHWAY CATEGORIES TO THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE COLORADO STATE TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION PURSUANT TO THE REVISED COLORADO STATE HIGHWAY ACCESS CODE WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Transportation has recently adopted a revised Colorado State Highway Access Code, which Code affords local agencies such as the City of Fort Collins the opportunity to recommend preferred highway categories for state highways within such local agency jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, the staff has prepared and presented to the Council certain proposed highway access categories, attached hereto as Exhibit"A" and incorporated herein by this reference; and WHEREAS,the proposed highway access categories have been reviewed and approved by the Transportation Board, Growth Management Lead Team and the City Council Growth Management Committee; and WHEREAS,the Council has determined that the proposed highway categories as identified on Exhibit "A" are in the best interests of the City and should be recommended to the Colorado Department of Transportation and the Colorado State Transportation Commission for approval and adoption. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the highway access categories as established on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, are hereby recommended to the Colorado Department of Transportation and the Colorado State Transportation Commission for approval and adoption pursuant to the requirements of the revised Colorado State Highway Access Code. Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 1st day of December, A.D. 1998.
