OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
SUPPORTING THE 2020 REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN
FOR THE NORTH FRONT RANGE TRANSPORTATION
AND AIR QUALITY PLANNING COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins is a member of the North Front Range Transportation
& Air Quality Planning Council; and
WHEREAS, the North Front Range Transportation & Air Quality Planning Council is
required by federal law to develop a twenty year regional transportation plan; and
WHEREAS,the North Front Range Transportation&Air Quality Planning Council has held
public meetings and open houses on the proposed 2020 Regional Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS,the City Council reviewed the 2020 Regional Transportation Plan at its January
27, 1998 study session; and
WHEREAS, the North Front Range Transportation & Air Quality Planning Council is
scheduled to adopt the 2020 Regional Transportation Plan at its April 2, 1998 meeting; and
WHEREAS,the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of
the City to support the 2020 Regional Transportation Plan.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the 2020 Regional Transportation Plan as proposed by the North Front
Range Transportation&Air Quality Planning Council serves the best interests of the citizens of the
City and of the North Front Range generally.
Section 2. That the City Council supports the adoption of said 2020 Regional
Transportation Plan by the North Front Range Transportation& Air Quality Planning Council.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Co ficil hh this day March,
