BYRNE FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY AS RESOLUTION 2001-48 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS EXPRESSING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION TO MICHAEL F. BYRNE FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY AS A COUNCILMEMBER WHEREAS, Michael F. Byrne served as a Councilmember representing City Council District 5 from April 15, 1997, through April 10, 2001; and WHEREAS, during his tenure, Mr. Byrne served as Council Liaison to the Commission on Disability, the Library Board, the Planning and Zoning Board and the Transportation Board; and WHEREAS, Mr. Byrne served as a member of various Council Committees including the Ethics Review Board, the Finance Committee, the Governance Committee, the Health and Safety Committee and the Water Planning Committee; and WHEREAS, the City was represented by Mr. Byrne through his service on the North Front Range Transportation and Air Quality Planning Council, the Colorado State University Liaison Committee, the Poudre School District Liaison Committee and numerous other assignments; and WHEREAS, Mr. Byrne also deserves recognition for his contributions and service to the Fort Collins community, prior to his election as a Councilmember, as a member of the Planning and Zoning Board; and WHEREAS, this period of time has seen an incredible amount of change and growth in the City of Fort Collins, and Michael F. Byrne was called upon to devote a substantial amount of time and energy to the affairs of the City of Fort Collins. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City expresses its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Michael F. Byrne for his service and contributions to the community as Councilmember. Passed and adopted at a special meeting of the City Council held this 10th day of April, A.D. 2001.
