OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING A NINE-MONTH LEASE
OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY
AT 945 EAST PROSPECT ROAD
WHEREAS,the City of Fort Collins is the owner of the property at 945 East Prospect Road,
Fort Collins, Latimer County, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the City purchased this property for a capital project to be constructed at a later
date and the previous lease of the house has expired; and
WHEREAS, the house and property on which it is located will not be required for the
construction of related street improvements until the fall of 1997; and
WHEREAS, under Section 23-114 of the Code of the City of Fort Collins, the Council is
authorized to lease any and all interests in real property owned in the name of the City, provided that
Council first finds that the lease is in the best interests of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. Leasing the subject property is in the best interests of the City of Fort Collins.
Section 2. That the City Manager be authorized to enter into a new Lease Agreement for a
term of nine (9) months for the house and lot at 945 East Prospect Road, at a monthly rate of Six
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($650).
