OF TIIL'^ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
REGARDING HOUSING AUTHORITY FEES
WHEREAS, Colorado law provides in Section 29-4-227, C.R.S., that housing authorities in
the Stale of Colorado created pursuant to Title 29, Article 4, Part 26, C.R.S., (hereinafter refencd
to as "Housing Authorities') are exempt from the payment of certain fees and taxes; and
WHEREAS, on May 17, 1988, the City Council adopted Resolution 88-81 exempting the
Housing Authority from certain fees specified in said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on May 2.1, 1996, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 51, 1996, adopting
certain capital improvement expansion fees for new development; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that it would be in the best interests of the City and
consistent with the provisions of Resolution 88-81 and the provisions of state statute to exempt the
Fort Collins housing Authority from the payment of said capital improvement expansion fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIIE COUNCIL OF TILE CITY Oh FORT
COLLINS, as follows:
Section 1. That Resolution 88-81 of the Council of the City of Fort Collins is hereby
amended so that the list of fees specified therein includes the above-referenced capital improvement
expansion fees, with the resulting list of fees to read as follows:
A. Appeal fees;
B. Building permit fees;
C. Development review fees;
D. Parkland fees;
E. Plan check fees;
F. Sheet oversizing fees;
G. Vested properly right fees;
If. Zoning variance fees;
L Community Parkland Capital Improvement Expansion Fee;
J. Library Capital Improvement Expansion Fee;
K. Police Capital Improvement Expansion Fee;
L. Fire Protection Capital Improvement Expansion Fee; and
M. General Government Capital Improvement Expansion Fee.
Section 2. That except as expressly modified herein, the provisions of Resolution 88-81
shall remain in full force and effect.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 18th day of June, A.D.
