OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO HOUSING AUTHORITY
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, Section 2-247 of the City Code provides that the Housing Authority shall
consist of commissioners selected by the City Council in the manner provided by state statute; and
WHEREAS, the manner of selection specified in the statutes and in Section 2-247 permits
the Council to either appoint its own members to serve ex-officio as the commissioners of the
Authority or, in the alternative, to appoint no more than nine commissioners,one of whom may be
a City official; and
WHEREAS, on this same date the Council has approved on second reading Ordinance No.
72,2000,amending Section 2-247 to increase the number of commissioners from five to seven;and
WHEREAS, Section 29-4-205(3)(b) C.R.S. provides that the initial terms of the appointed
commissioners shall be staggered from the date of their appointments such that, to the extent
possible,the terms of an equal number of commissioners end each year and,thereafter, the term of
office of the commissioners shall be for five years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the following named persons be,and hereby are,appointed as members of the Board
of Commissioners of the Fort Collins Housing Authority, with terms to begin August 1, 2000 and
to expire as set forth after each name:
