RESOLUTION 2000-147
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE
TO LARIMER COUNTY COMMISSIONER JIM DISNEY
WHEREAS,Larimer County is governed by a three-member board of commissioners,which
presently consists of Kathay Rennels, Cheryl Olson, and Jim Disney; and
WHEREAS, the term of office of Commissioner Jim Disney will expire on the 8th day of
January, 2001; and
WHEREAS,the working relationship between Larimer County and the City of Fort Collins
is critically important to the well-being of the Fort Collins community and surrounding areas; and
WHEREAS, during the term of office of Jim Disney, several pressing regional issues have
been cooperatively and amicably resolved between the City of Fort Collins and Larimer County,and
solutions have been developed that acknowledge and respect the different needs and interests of the
two governing bodies; and
WHEREAS, Jim Disney's leadership has been especially helpful on projects such as the
Civic Center Master Plan, the Regional Economic Impact Model, the Fossil Creek Area Reservoir
Plan,and coordinating regional transportation land use planning and other transportation issues such
as the Regional Road Impact Fee; and his leadership has greatly contributed to the overall working
relationship between the City of Fort Collins and Larimer County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins greatly appreciates the leadership, vision, and
cooperative focus provided by Jim Disney during his term as Commissioner for Larimer County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Council adopts this Resolution to provide an enduring record of the
contributions of Jim Disney to Larimer County and the City of Fort Collins through his cooperative
endeavors.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this
19th day of December, A.D. 2000.
