HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-078-06/15/1999-AMENDING THE STRUCTURE PLAN MAP AND THE MOUNTAIN VISTA AREA SUB AREA PLAN REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMEN RESOLUTION 99-78 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AMENDING THE STRUCTURE PLAN MAP AND THE MOUNTAIN VISTA AREA S AREA PLAN REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ENHANCED MAJO ARTERIAL STREET ALONG THE PORTION OF EAST VINE DRIVE WHEREAS, on June 15, 1999, the Council of the City of Fort Collins ado ed Resolution 99-77 amending the Master Street Plan so as to establish a new designation of enhanced major arterial street" and identifying such a future enhanced major arterial along a p rtion of East Vine Drive; and WHEREAS,by reason of the adoption of Resolution 99-77,Co it has determined that the City Structure Plan Map and the Mountain Vista Area Sub Area PI should also be amended to correspond to the Master Street Plan as amended pursuant to said solution 99-77; and WHEREAS,on the 3rd day of June, 1999,the Planning nd Zoning Board recommended to the Council that the Structure Plan Map and the Mountain ista Sub Area Plan be amended to correspond to the said changes to the Master Street Plan; d WHEREAS, the Council has determined that i is in the best interests of the City that the Structure Plan Map and Mountain Vista Sub Area an be so amended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV D BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS as follows: Section 1. That the Structur Ian Map of the City be, and hereby is, amended so as to appear as shown on Exhibit "A," atta ed hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Section 2. That the untain Vista Sub Area Plan Framework Plan Map be,and hereby is,amended so as to appear ass wn on Exhibit"B,"attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Section 3. T t the Mountain Vista Sub Area Plan Master Street Plan Map, be, and hereby is,amended so to appear as shown on Exhibit"C," attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Section . That the Mountain Vista Sub Area Plan Proposed Structure Plan Map be, and hereby is,am ded so as to appear as shown on Exhibit"D",attached hereto and incorporated herein by this ref ence. ection 5. That Section 5.3.1 of the Mountain Vista Sub Area Plan be amended by the addi on of a new subparagraph to read as shown on Exhibit "E," attached hereto and incorporated he ein by this reference. That the Mountain Vista Subarea Plan be amended by the addition of a new Policy MV-T-1.4 to read as shown on Exhibit "F" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Vine Drive's alignment is recommended to be altered. At a point approximately one-third mile east of the current intersection of Vine Drive and Lemay Avenue, the road's alignment will travel to the northwest. Exhibit F Policy MV-T-1.4: If East Vine Drive is designated as a State Highway, as is recommended by the Northeast Fort Collins Truck Route Project at the time of this writing, then the number of access points will be limited. The local street network will then be designed to direct traffic toward the relatively few access points located along this major transportation corridor.
